Google, Yahoo and Outlook have new requirements for your group emails.
Their goal? To improve the % of your emails that land in client inboxes and to reduce spam.
Book your email deliverability package for $250.
Is this important for you?
What are the new requirements?
1. You must send group emails from your email campaign tool from an email that you own using your domain name.
So, for example, if you send emails from thewebsitedoula@gmail.com, these will likely no longer be delivered. You MUST have a domain-based email such as info@thewebsitedoula.com. For some of you this may mean also setting up a Google Workspace domain-based email (I can help with this as well!)
2. You need to include your email program in your SPF record within your hosting account DNS.
SPF stands for Sender Policy Framework. It's basically an online list which affirms that your email is coming from a trusted source.
3. You need to add a DKIM TXT record within your hosting account DNS.
DKIM stands for Domain Keys Identified Mail which essentially provides a digital signature hidden within your email to indicate that your email can be trusted.
3. You may need to add a DMARC record within your hosting account DNS.
Your DMARC (Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting & Conformance) record verifies that your email is authentic.
Good thing you have a website doula who can help you take of tricky updates like this!

*A small % of you may already have this set up. If you book a DNS Package with me and I find you're already good to go, you'll get a full refund!
*If you do not already have a domain-based email we may need to add onto your practice to set up a new account for you.
Want to take care of these updates yourself?
If you're one of those people who's not afraid to get into the techy side of your website & hosting, you can do this yourself. Here are tutorials from some of the most common email providers:
Mailchimp
Flodesk
Active Campaign
Convertkit
Mailerlite
Constant Contact
What happens if you ignore this update?
I completely understand why you might want to. Messing around with DNS can be nerve-wracking on the best of days.
If you use any kind of 3rd party email system then...
You will likely see a significant decline in the % of your emails that will reach your clients.
End of the world? No. But far from ideal. I'm here to help!
